  • Trip to Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach (Southport Middle School in Port St. Lucie)

  • Educator Study Tour Holocaust Remembrance (Southern Oaks Middle School)

Department of Multicultural Education of Palm Beach County - Programs for PBC Schools  

  • Child Survivors/Hidden Children Elementary, Middle and High School

  • Puppets of Tolerance (Elementary Schools)

  • Quilts of Tolerance (Elementary, Middle and High Schools)

  • Teaching Coexistence through Art (Boynton Beach High School)

  • International Book Sharing Project (Middle Schools)

  • The Righteous Among Us (Elementary Schools)

  • Six Million Paper Clips (Middle Schools)

  • Teaching the Holocaust through Research (Lake Worth High School)

  • Suitcase Stories (Elementary Schools)

(The above are just a few of PBC school programs that are funded by LEAH. Funding is in excess of $100,000 per year.)

FAU Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education  

  • Using "Facing History and Ourselves" for FCAT preparation for struggling high school students ($4752)

  • Summer Institute for one week sessions to train teachers (average of $7,000 annually for the past 11 years)

  • Palm Beach and Broward County Study Tour to United States Holocaust Museum for 50 to 60 teacher training annually (average of $20,000 )

  • Living Voices-an interactive program with a live actress portraying the best friend of Anne Frank reaching approximately 60 schools and thousands of students over a 4 week program (average of $12,000 annually)

  • Upgrading The Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center Resource Center for books, videos, etc. (More than $15,000, as needed)

  • Understanding the Act of Rescue: Ordinary Citizens and the Rescue of Jews by Scandinavians: for High School Students ($3,100) 

Teacher Education

LEAH has provided extensive training and resources to teachers. Presently, LEAH is considering funds for teacher education programs in Martin County, St Lucie County, Okeechobee County, Indian River County and Glades County where lessons in acceptance and respect are of great need.

Jewish Education Commission: March of the Living Righteous Among the Nations

A pilot program to send 27 non-Jewish High School Students on the "March of the Living" (Funded $71,551 in scholarships)

March of Remembrance and Hope:

Education for 375 College Students from 23 countries to visit the Nazi Death Camps in Poland (Funded $100,677 for scholarships including 35 students from FAU and Lynn University)
